Service Description
OVERVIEW This course provides foundation of pattern development and garment construction of basic traditional baju kurung. You will learn to take body measurements, understand the relation of styles and ease allowance, develop patterns and basic sewing techniques to construct the garment. This forms the fundamental for progression enabling you to master the basic techniques of laying fabric, cutting, sewing, edging and finishing. OBJECTIVES - Draft basic pattern blocks with given specifications or measurements taken from human body. - Develop a variety of patterns for selected simple collarless tops and skirts using basic block via manipulation methods. - Label and mark individual pattern pieces with symbols and notches based on industrial practices. - Sew a simple traditional baju kurung against given specifications or measurements. - Evaluate product against given specifications or measurements. - Take follow-up actions for non-conformance.
